Inside Henry Winkler & 'Soulmate' Wife Stacey's Cozy Home since 1993 Where They Raised Their 3 Kids

Henry Winkler met the love of his life before he set down permanent roots. The pair have continued to reside in the same cozy home where they raised their kids — he calls it his "Haven."


Love is a beautiful feeling, and for those lucky enough to meet their soulmate without many failures, love is the best thing that could happen between two willing souls.
Famous actor Henry Winkler falls among the category of those extremely lucky to find their other half without too much strife.

He and his wife, Stacey, have been married since 1978, and their relationship has remained rooted in love through the years. Speaking about their long-lived marriage, Winkler once said:

"The most wonderful thing is to really be able to grow with someone. We're not the same people we were when we got married."

According to Stacey, their marriage has not been exempted from the usual ups and downs; however, they have been able to brave the choppy waters by putting in the work required, which helped them
come out stronger.

It is hard to ignore the obvious bond they share, and one of the reasons it has flourished is because they enjoy spending a lot of time together doing things they both like, including watching movies or fly fishing.
Another fundamental reason they are so great together is that Winkler figured out the key to having a great relationship is listening to your partner.
Their union is one of the famous long-standing marriages, but not many know how it began that fateful day.

HE WAS HOOKED THE MOMENT HE LAID EYES ON HER

Winkler first met Stacey in 1976 while he was playing the role of The Fonz on "Happy Days." The meeting happened at a clothing store, and immediately after he saw her, Winkler admitted to her beauty.
That image stuck with him, and even after decades have passed, the actor can still remember that first glance vividly. He said about her appearance:

"She was wearing purple parachute pants, and she had red hair, and without her even saying a
word, I thought, 'Woah, beautiful woman standing in front of me.'"

The second time he saw her at the store, Winkler summoned up courage and asked if she would like to have a Soda while also mentioning that he had to stop along the way to get a wedding gift.
She refused at first, telling him she was no "gift service" before changing her mind and joining him for ginger ales.
It was the beginning of a special relationship, and it did not even matter that Stacey was already a
mother of a four-year-old at the time.

Within weeks, the gorgeous lady and her son, Jed Weitzman, had moved into Winkler's home, and by
May 5, 1978, they were united in holy matrimony.
Their first child arrived two years after that, in 1980, and she was named Zoe Emily Winkler, while their
second child, Max Winkler, was born in 1983. It did not matter that he suffered from undiagnosed dyslexia; all they wanted were results.
Winkler is a big fan of family and love, which is evident in his lifestyle. He believes he and Stacey are soulmates, and he treats her such, which is why they have lasted so long in wedded bliss.

A HOME BEFITTING A PERFECT FAMILY

When they welcomed their kids, Winkler and his wife lived in Toluca Lake in LA, where they had been residing for 15 years; but, as their kids got older, the pair decided to get a bigger place.
They left the five-bedroom residence, which was initially built in 1937, and later sold it for $2.4 million to another actor, Andy Garcia, and his wife.

Around the time Garcia purchased the property, Winkler and his wife also bought an even larger property in Bel–Air.

Before they assumed ownership, the place belonged to producer Lee Rich, and it was a four-bedroom, 9000 square foot home sitting pretty on an acre.
The country English-style house was built in 1934, and Winkler acquired it for almost $3.4 million. It was an attractive building with an elegant front porch leading inside via double doors.

Winkler and his family have spent more than a decade in the house, and for them, no other place screams hearth and home more. The actor even has a place he calls his "bolthole," which is essentially his home office.
The room contains paperwork, knick-knacks, framed pictures, and books; a place where he could run to when he needed to get some work done, but the pictures and other effects gave the room a welcoming feel.
Other rooms in the house also gave off the same cozy feeling, including the living room and bedroom, which both consisted of decorations that gave them warm tones.
The house has a user-friendly kitchen with a large functional wooden table smack dab in the center; nonetheless, other parts of the kitchen had the same white color tone as the rest of the other rooms in the building.
Besides the cozy vibes their house gives off, another remarkable thing about it is that the pair have equipped it with facilities that enable their hobbies.
For instance, they have a small garden on the property where flowers are planted. Winkler has been known to show off some of the flowers they pluck from there on social media, and fans always love it.
The actor, who is an obvious fan of reading, also has built-in shelves all over their home, and they all contain his favorite books.

WINKLER AS A FATHER

Winkler was born to very strict parents who believed too much in education. They thought he was lazy because his grades were not up to par and would often ground him to keep him centered on learning.
It did not matter that he suffered from undiagnosed dyslexia; all they wanted were results, but he couldn't deliver, and he did not receive enough love from his parents as he grew older.
This is why Winkler decided that he would raise his kids and grandkids differently as a parent and grandparent.

To that end, the actor makes sure that he listens to them while doing his best to make sure they know
precisely how loved they are. He once said about raising them:

"I tried to impart life lessons along the way every chance I got."

Besides that, he also taught them how to listen by ensuring he does the same when they have something to say, and the benefits even extend to their friends.

The great parenting paid off, and his children are now grown-ups with thriving families. The actor has
admitted that his life "glides" between his wife, their kids, and grandchildren.
He shares a great bond with his grandkids and has even been known to feature in their TikTok videos now and then, showing just how much he cherishes them.
For Stacey and her husband, being grandparents is a shared joy, and he has even claimed in the past that his favorite part of it is watching the little kids as they grow older. For Winkler, who has lived and is still living a full life, his family is everything. He once said,

"I'm thrilled to be on this earth, I'm thrilled with my family and I'm thrilled to be doing great work."

Winkler and his family are good examples of what a happy home looks like, and social media means that many fans can learn from his experience and grow with it.
